To celebrate one of my favorite new finds at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, I am hosting a giveaway with Spice Trail Snacks. THREE winners in the USA will win The Passport, a $40 value that includes a sampling of their incredible Bombay Crunch, Kingston Crunch and Marrakesh Crunch flavors, each in two sizes: 10oz for your pantry or desk, and 1.75oz. to throw in your handbag, gym bag or to grab while you’re out exploring the world. Their savory granola is a mixture of bold, authentic spices from around the world and is nothing like anything you have ever tried before. Each bag has a mix of four whole grains: oats, amaranth, millet, and ground flax.
On Saturday, August 5th, Christy Doramus of Crowns by Christy hosted a summer brunch in partnership with Nine West at a private residence in Sagaponack, NY. In support of Nine West’s new #StandOut campaign, the event focused on highlighting the brand’s new shoe collection inspired by strength, power and beauty of women across the world. Attendees were invited to mingle with like-minded influential women who are defining what it means to #StandOut and working to make a difference within their own communities.
During the event, guests were invited to try on their favorite Nine West designs and complete their looks from “head to toe” with a flower crown. A custom “shoefie” station designed by Christy Doramus allowed attendees to easily take photos of their favorite shoe styles and creatively showcase what it means to #StandOut. GlamSquad was on-site for makeup and hair touch-ups, and the brunch menu was curated and served by Hamptons local Jennifer Poto.
LT Burger is a must-visit for families and people of all ages. Serving up incredible burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes and more all day long, this friendly neighborhood spot offers indoor and outdoor seating including a spacious dining area, bar and cozy corner booth-style tables. The restaurant is owned and operated by Chef Laurent Tourondel, a native of France who has worked under such notable chefs as: Bruno Tison at Restaurant Beau Geste in Manhattan, Jacques Maximin at Restaurant Ledoyen in France, and Chef de Partie at Restaurant Mercury at the Hotel InterContinental in Moscow. He now also owns several award-winning restaurants in New York, Miami, San Juan, Hong Kong, and one in Kazakhstan, and has authored three cookbooks including New American Cooking and Fresh from the Market.
We visited LT Burger, located in the Village of Sag Harbor, on an early Tuesday evening. My family and I have been coming to dine here since the restaurant opened in 2010 and have always been pleased with the consistently friendly and attentive service, as well as their unbeatable milkshakes and burgers that are far too good to split. Located at At Knowhere (aka Breakers MTK) at 769 Old Montauk Highway, Seamore’s opened their flagship outpost in Montauk in early July. A stunning ocean view just across the highway awaits visitors to this hip, laid-back dining spot. The dining room is on the upstairs deck and offers outdoor and indoor seating. We chose to sit inside as we preferred a quieter dining experience. It was already getting busy at just before 6pm on a Wednesday with most guests choosing to sit on the deck. There’s also a covered bar below the restaurant overlooking the pool. On the opposite side of the property, there is a spacious lawn for playing outdoor games and for a piece of relaxation.
To drink, my husband had the Montauk ‘Wave Chaser’ on draft ($10) and I had the Cucumber Mint Fresca ($6). The also have a Watermelon Aguas Frescas. I loved that the Fresca was not sweetened and was very thirst quenching. A wedge of lime added the perfect citrus touch. There’s also a curated cocktail menu and wine list.
‘The Children Matter’, an exclusive charity event benefiting MATTER & The Starkey Hearing Foundation, was presented by Bridgehampton Benefit at Southampton Arts Center Saturday on Saturday, July 29th. The talented singer/songwriter, Sophie Simmons, was joined by her father, KISS legend, Gene Simmons, wife Former Playmate of the Year, Shannon Tweed-Simmons and their son Nick Simmons. The Simmons Family have been long-time supporters and ambassadors for the nonprofit MATTER.
This event could not have taken place without the incredible dedication and hard work of the main event planner and coordinator team, Noë Brown (Gala 631) and Jason Zimmerman (Founder of Bridgehampton Benefit). The unforgettable evening was kicked off with energizing performance by New York based band, The Janes, immediately followed by a fashion show featuring, Holland’s Next Top Model Winner, Kim Feenstra, and Best Selling Author of The Earth Diet & 10-Minute Recipes Liana Werner-Gray. Adjacent to the fashion show, Kendra Scott had an interactive Hamptons Y’all photo booth.
