Top Five Hamptons Summer Events I am Looking Forward To

Summers in the Hamptons have always been known for the extravagant galas and soirees that seem to pour into each weekend. It would not be a fulfilling season out east without attending at least one of the well-known gatherings. Plus, who could miss out on an opportunity to go shopping and get glammed up for that spectacular evening? There is a feeling of wonder and excitement in the air knowing that summer is just around the corner. With the arrival of summer, my attention turns to my wardrobe. I love deciding weeks in advance what I will be wearing to which event, and when attending multiple events in one day, it is essential that my outfits are ready to grab, change into, and continue about my day. As I begin to organize the season’s wardrobe, I instantly become reminded of all my favorite events, some of which are child-friendly, a huge plus for my family. From fashion and feasts to breakfasts with famous chefs, below are my top Hamptons summer events I am looking forward to.

Pindar Vineyards Wine Pairing with North Fork Chocolate Company

This past Saturday, March 11, I ventured over to the North Fork with my husband to attend a wine and chocolate pairing at Pindar Vineyards in Peconic. The wine pairing was in partnership with North Fork Chocolate Company located in Aquebogue, one of my favorite spots to stop at while I am in the area for great gifts from talented local businesses. Their chocolates are also out of this world! Pindar Vineyards and North Fork Chocolate Company are open year round.

Pindar Vineyards was quite busy that Saturday. We saw a few bridal parties celebrating, some birthday bashes, family and friend gatherings, and more. We were delighted to listen to live music and enjoy a cheese plate (sold in their refrigerator) during our tasting. Pindar is always a lively spot and the staff is consistently accommodating. If you happen to purchase a cheese plate or a selection of cheeses, complimentary crackers are provided at the wine bars. We also could not get enough of their Irish Soda Bread, seriously one of the best soda breads I have tried: so moist and fresh!

Jean-Georges at Topping Rose House

We visited the restaurant at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton on Sunday for Long Island Restaurant Week. Long Island Restaurant Week spans for eight days, Sunday to Sunday, and offers a $27.95 prix fixe menu at dozens of restaurants across Long Island. It gives customers an affordable opportunity to try the cuisine at several restaurants of their choosing. During this week, I try to visit restaurants I have never dined at before in the hopes of finding a new place to come dine at on a regular basis. We were very pleased with our experience at Topping Rose House. We have dined here for brunch and have attended events in the past, but this was our first visit for dinner. The charm and elegance of the restaurant and the hotel assimilate well within the Hamptons. The white, stately mansion with a classic, beach scene decor with a splash of unobstrusive modernism. Our daughter loved the cinemagraph of the snow owl as we entered the hotel lobby.
