Hampton Coffee Company has been one of my go-to spots for freshly roasted coffee or a spot of tea and a scone for over a decade. I have also discovered the company at various events across the East End, including Love Bites, Super Saturday, this past summer’s 11th Annual Hamptons Happening, and The Great Food Truck Derby.
I recently visited their Watermill location on two occasions, one to cure my serious pumpkin craving for one of their pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin muffins. The second time, I enjoyed a quiet lunch with my daughter while learning about their newest retail location in Aquebogue opening later this month.
To start, I sipped on my favorite pumpkin spice latte adorned with eye-catching latte art. It is the pure comforts of autumn served in a larger-than-life cup at the perfect temperature.
Their lunch menu includes salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, Mexican grill dishes, gourmet burgers, and breakfast that is served all day. Sarah ordered the French Toast ($8) served with fresh fruit salad off of the Hampton Coffee Kids menu. I had the Huevos Rancheros Con Todo: two eggs over easy, soft corn tortillas, Chorizo, avocado, Queso Blanco, sour cream, salsa, and black beans on the side ($16). Our meals were standard, good, though I would have liked the tortillas to be heated slightly.
For dessert, Hampton Coffee Company has a lovely selection of Italian Frozen Desserts including a Limoncello Truffle, Chocolate Truffle, Ripieno Sorbetto, Coppa Caffe, Guava Mango Flute, and adorable kid’s bear face chocolate gelato! My daughter had the kid’s bear face chocolate gelato and I chose the orange Ripieno Sorbetto, orange sherbet served in a frozen orange. I would come here just for dessert and a latte!
You can view their entire menu at their Watermill location here.
Hampton Coffee company standouts are certainly the coffee, pastry accompaniments, and dessert! The coffee shop also started selling wine and beer two years ago, making Hampton Coffee the perfect après-beach destination.
Full-service outdoor dining is available in their hidden garden during the summer months or you may choose to enjoy your coffee and meal seated at one of their picnic tables out in front.
Hampton Coffee Company has been a “Hamptons classic” since 1994. The owners are husband- and-wife team of Jason and Theresa Belkin. It was over twenty years ago when they became one of the first artisan coffee roasteries on the East Coast. The Watermill location had been a 1940s-era service station. For hours and additional information, please click here. They have additional storefronts in Southampton, and Westhampton. Their Westhampton location underwent a “facelift” last year. They also do catering and their Mobile Espresso Unit is available for events from April thru November. Popular catering options include a simple business breakfast to a full lunch or dinner buffet that can be completely customized.
Check out their Instagram page where they will highlight the Hampton Coffee regulars as well as information on specials and menu additions.
