Joel’s Outrageous Cookie Dough

Joel’s Outrageous Cookie Dough

I discovered a fun, all natural gourmet cookie dough at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show that should be on the top of everyone’s gift list this autumn and upcoming holiday season. Joel’s Outrageous Cookie Dough graciously sent me their Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk and Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough to bake at home and enjoy amongst family and friends. The cookies were so much fun and very simple to bake. After storing in the freezer, we thawed the cookie dough for a half hour, broke away each of the twelve square pieces and baked them in the oven on 325 degrees for exactly 14 minutes.

The cookies were baked thoroughly in that amount of time while maintaining a soft, chewy taste. Outrageous is an understatement! My husband, daughter and I could not resist trying them within ten minutes after emerging from the oven. Each flavorful and delicious cookie tasted so fresh and chocolatey. The next day, we brought the remaining cookies over to a birthday party for everyone to try. Everyone had at least one, even those who swore to not eat dessert. A few were snagged even before dinner began, the cookies had to be hidden out of reach! What surprised me was how each cookie tasted freshly baked even a day later. I rarely experience that at home with my baking! My favorite? The chocolate chunk! I would love to try their Sugar Cookies, I have not had sugar cookies in years.

Their cookie dough comes in eight varieties: Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Macadamia, Sugar Cookie, Dark Chocolate Chunk & Walnuts, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk, Oatmeal Raisin, Crazy Cranberry Nut, and English Toffee Chocolate Chip. Each 1 lb of gourmet cookie dough comes with 12 squares, contains zero trans fat, has no preservatives, and is crafted from a traditional butter based recipe.

Shelf life is twelve months frozen, or six weeks refrigerated. You can also send Joel’s Outrageous cookies freshly baked in a tin. Sizes include regular (approx. 16 cookies), medium (approx. 24 cookies), and large (approx. 48 cookies). Heart tins are also available for that special someone.

English toffee chocolate chip! The challenge would be actually baking them before we snarfed the dough. ha ha!
