Care to join? Long Island Restaurant Week is happening now from Sunday to Sunday, January 21st-28th. Jean-George at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton is one of the many participating restaurants. The Restaurant Week menu is available for all dinner hours, except for Saturday where the menu extends just to that early evening. Long Island Restaurant Week is one of my favorite times to dine out because it gives you the opportunity to explore various restaurants in and out of your area you may not have the chance to dine out during the high season.
Topping Rose House’s Restaurant Week menu includes a selection of customer favorites, including their Crispy Salmon Sushi in the appetizer section with Chipotle Mayonnaise, and Soy-Honey Glaze; and the Parmesan Risotto with Roasted Mushrooms and Herbs. For the main courses, expect Caramelized Diver Scallops with Pumpkin Seeds, Spaghetti Squash, and Soy-Yuzu Broth; and Seared Monkfish with Market Potatoes, Leeks, and Guajillo Vinaigrette. View their full Restaurant Week menu here.
To pair with your meal, I recommend their Ginger Margarita ($17) or Cucumber Mint Martini ($18). I also recommend Topping Rose House for Valentine’s Day. They are offering a romantic four-course dinner menu for that evening.
Their desserts are irresistible. For Restaurant Week, their three selections are the Crème Fraiche Cheesecake, Warm Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream, and Assorted Ice Cream & Sorbet Scoops. I would never go without dessert at Topping Rose House. Their Warm Chocolate Cake is a favorite for its presentation and classic chocolate comfort. Pair with Porto Niepoort Colheita 2005.
Three-course prix-fixe is $28.95. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made on Open Table or by calling the restaurant directly.
