Below, I round up a selection of my new, favorite beverages discovered at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show held at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan. These beverages are perfect for bringing to the beach, a backyard BBQ, out and about, or just to sip leisurely at home. Each brand has a true unique sense of character, attractive labeling, and contains high quality ingredients.
Hydrate and nourish your skin from within with All Beauty’s three naturally favorite waters: Cucumber Aloe, Pomegranate Rose (my favorite), and Strawberry Açaí. It tastes so refreshing, I can easily drink at least two bottles a day. Each bottle contains 0 calories and 0 grams of sugar and has no artificial sweeteners, flavors or preservatives. Each bottle is equivalent to two glasses of water and is packed with vitamins and minerals to help beautify your skin such as Biotin, Green Tea Extract, Magnesium, Potassium, and Zinc.

Wild Leaf Active Tea launched onto the global stage at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, showcasing their line of six herbal teas. Owned and operated by Susan Parnell, the company launched in the summer of 2016. All-too-common in the Hamptons is Lyme Disease, everyone knows someone who has battled the disease or you may have or have had it. Parnell discovered the benefits of herbal teas during a long and painful battle with chronic Lyme Disease. During this difficult time, the teas helped to strengthen her body and mind. Each tea is carefully crafted with herbalists and tea flavorists to craft distinctive recipes that mix organic whole-leaf teas, herbs and dried fruits. SLIM, for example, contains a unique blend of ancient pu’erh tea, Siberian ginseng, cocoa nibs, dried currant & orange peels, and fennel. The containers are so cheerful and eye-catching, a very smart design. My favorites are SMART and HAPPY.

One of the best beverages I have tried this year. H2rOse is so light and refreshing, not to sweet and floral, you could ‘taste the roses’ with each sip, placing you in a beautiful, aromatic rose garden with each bottle. Comes in four flavors that are all infused with saffron: Apple, Mango, Wild Berry, and Peach. My favorite is the mango. You get that little note of saffron at the tip of your tongue after each taste. H2rOse is a perfect beverage to bring to the park and or the beach.

JusTea launched 3 new Purple Tea blends at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show: Purple Rain, Purple Jasmine, and Purple Mint. Founded by Paul Bain. Their teas are non-GMO, Rainforest Alliance certified, and fair trade certified. The company has already created 40 jobs in rural Kenya: from plucking to rolling to tasting. Women make up 80% of the employees at the Herbal Tea Co-operative where JusTea sources their organic herbs. To enjoy, steep 1 teaspoon of tealeaves per cup of water. To see a beautiful color change, squeeze lemon into the Pure Purple Leaf Tea. Did you know that purple leaf tea is the only tea that changes color? Each container comes with a hand-carved Kenyan teaspoon.
Purchase directly via their website. Subscribe to their newsletter and receive 20% off your first purchase and FREE tea on your birthday! Their Purple Tea selection is currently on sale!

Founded in Seattle, Washington in 2005 by Sharelle Klaus, DRY Sparkling creates beautifully refreshing, culinary-inspired sodas. Crafted with just a touch of cane sugar, each DRY variety honors a singular botanical flavor such as Lavender or Juniper. DRY is great on its own or as a cocktail mixer. I love enjoy mine poolside with lunch. The full line is available in eleven flavor-forward, crisp, refreshing varieties: Watermelon, Ginger, Fuji Apple, Lavender, Blood Orange, Rhubarb, Vanilla Bean, Juniper, Rainier Cherry, Cucumber and Cranberry (seasonal). My favorite is the Watermelon and Lavender. All DRY Sparkling flavors are non-GMO, caffeine-free, gluten-free, Kosher, and sodium-free, with only 45-70 calories per serving.

A sister brand of Brooklyn Organics, Bruce Cost Ginger Ale is made with 100% fresh ginger and pure cane sugar. Cane sugar is definitely the way to go when it comes to a sweetener (besides honey). You can actually see the coarsely ground ginger in each bottle! Gently shake and enjoy. My favorite was the Pomegranate. This local crafted ginger ale comes in seven flavors:
- Original Ginger Ale
- “66” (66 calories with monk fruit)
- Jasmine Tea
- Ginger Beer
- Pomegranate with Hibiscus
- Passion Fruit with Tumeric
- Blood Orange with Meyer Lemon
Purchase at specialty grocery stores in Brooklyn, and online at Taldepot.
