Milkadamia, the New Milk Alternative

I have tried practically every dairy-free milk there is on the market, from tastings at specialty food shows to testing out recipes with store-bought dairy-free milks. Though I love dairy products, I do try to limit my intake to some degree now and then. I recently learned of Milkadamia, a new dairy-free alternative made of raw macadamia nuts, grown on the gorgeous Jindilli Family Farms in Australia. The taste is exquisite: creamy, gently sweet, and truly stands out from the other types of dairy-free milks on the market.

Dinner at The Restaurant at Baron’s Cove 2017

Baron’s Cove, located in Sag Harbor with sweeping views of the Marina, is a place I have congregated with friends and family for many years. I come here year round for several reasons: superior service and professional staff members, sumptuous plates, crafty cocktails, decadent desserts, and the cozy fireplace in their lounge that evokes charming, old-world elements. During the autumn months, I love to visit this hotel and restaurant for some bar bites and a cocktail on a Friday or Saturday evening with my husband and family. We are treated with the utmost amount of genuine kindness, and with that we love to continue to create many happy memories here.

For this particular visit, we dined for Long Island Restaurant Week, which took place last week from October 29-November 5. Restaurant Week features a three-course prix fixe dinner for $28.95.

Saaz Indian Restaurant in Southampton

Coming from the west as you enter Southampton on Montauk Highway, Saaz Indian Cuisine is one of the first restaurant establishments to welcome you. Before I first dined here almost a year ago, I had heard nothing but rave reviews from the exceptional service to the authentic, delicious Indian/Pakistani dishes. If I could come to dine here once a week I would. The vibe is so relaxing and the food is worth every bit of praise. Sameer, the owner, was so warm and welcoming and in addition to his phenomenal staff, provided us with top notch service.

This visit was apart of my collaboration with Long Island Restaurant Week, which took place this past week from Sunday to Sunday, October 29th to November 5th. Saaz featured a five-course menu including salad, soup, appetizer, entree with bread and rice, and a dessert for $28.95.
