Sweet Sunday: Salem Baking Company

Sweet Sunday: Salem Baking Company

As my plans commence for the upcoming Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City later this month, I would love to share some of my favorite exhibitors for this 2017 show. Recently, I was sent some spring and summer inspired Moravian cookies by Salem Baking Company based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Moravian cookies are very thin, crisp cookies with original recipes dating back to the 18th century. Bursting with vivid flavor with a distinctive crispiness in each bite, Salem Baking Company knows how to craft and exceptional cookie that everyone will love.

I had the opportunity to try the Meyer Lemon, Toasted Coconut, and Clementine. My favorite out of the three I tried were the Meyer Lemon cookies. These cookies were crisp, light and pure sunshine rays of lemon in each bite. It was so hard to put the box down. These cookies were not too sweet, yet sweet enough to satisfy that dessert craving. Get creative with their cookie and make an Icebox Cake!

For your loved ones that enjoy a cuppa and some biscuits in the afternoon, their cookies are ideal for gift-giving. The boxes and packaging are cheerful, sleek, and eye-catching. Their cookies contain zero preservatives and no artificial flavors and colors. For next time, I would love to try their Chocolate Dipped Blood Orange Moravian Cookies.

Purchase their Moravian cookies, shortbreads, and cheese straws on their website, or at Amazon, Giant Eagle, and Walmart.
