Top Five Hamptons Summer Events I am Looking Forward To

Summers in the Hamptons have always been known for the extravagant galas and soirees that seem to pour into each weekend. It would not be a fulfilling season out east without attending at least one of the well-known gatherings. Plus, who could miss out on an opportunity to go shopping and get glammed up for that spectacular evening? There is a feeling of wonder and excitement in the air knowing that summer is just around the corner. With the arrival of summer, my attention turns to my wardrobe. I love deciding weeks in advance what I will be wearing to which event, and when attending multiple events in one day, it is essential that my outfits are ready to grab, change into, and continue about my day. As I begin to organize the season’s wardrobe, I instantly become reminded of all my favorite events, some of which are child-friendly, a huge plus for my family. From fashion and feasts to breakfasts with famous chefs, below are my top Hamptons summer events I am looking forward to.

Jill Zarin’s 5th Annual Lux Luncheon

Jill Zarin Lux Lunch

If it’s a REAL Housewives reunion, you know it is going to be as glamorous as any event can be. Jill Zarin’s 5th Annual Lux Luncheon is a star-studded fete that features a whirlwind selection of Zarin’s favorite fashion and beauty brands. Saturday July 29th, 12-5pm. Private Residence, Southampton.

Guild Hall’s Stirring the Pot

Sundays in August are always best with brunch and conversation at Guild Hall. Hosted and interviewed by food and wine writer for The New York Times, Florence Fabricant, the event (if you so choose) includes a complimentary Champagne Continental Breakfast at 10am prior to each talk. A must for an opportunity to meet and speak with the guest celebrity chef. Chefs this season include Andrew Zimmern, Michael Symon, and Daniel Humm. Starting Sunday, August 6th, 11am with Jacques Pepin hosted by Florence Fabricant. Guild Hall, East Hampton.

OCRFA’s Super Saturday

Super Saturday 2016

An event your whole  family can enjoy.  Stay for the entire day and bask in a shopping event that brings together dozens of top luxury name brands in high fashion, accessories, beauty, children’s and home goods at 30-50% off retail. If shopping is not your cup of tea, that is okay too! Grab lunch, drinks, and enjoy fun activities everyone will love, or pamper yourself at one of the luxury experience tents, from a braid bar to a massage tent. Saturday, July 29th, 12-6pm. Nova’s Ark Project, Bridgehampton.

Dan’s Taste of Summer

A must for any culinary and libation enthusiast. Just last year their most popular event, Taste of Two Forks, had to be expanded and moved to Mecox Farm to accommodate the 1,600+ guests. This year, five magnificent events will take the stage in the Hamptons spanning from Southampton to Montauk. Begins with their first annual Rosé Soirée, Sunday, May 28th, 5-8pm. Southampton Arts Center, Southampton.

13th Annual A Hamptons Happening

Experience delectable bites and languorously sip luxurious cocktails all while supporting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. The generous amount of charitable auction items available for bidding on at the event is quite impressive. Last year, my favorite aspects were the macarons and interactive photo booth. Saturday, August 5th, 6:30-10pm. The Estate of Maria and Kenneth Fishel, Bridgehampton.

Events I look forward to attending for the first time this year include St. Jude’s Hope in the Hamptons, Get Wild- The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, and the Third Annual Trunks of Love Gala.

In the article you mentioned that there are special events that happen all throughout the year in the Hampton’s, and they are welcome to the whole family. I’ve been trying to figure out where to go on vacation this year. I’ll have to find a place to stay in the Hampton’s, as I have kids and it sounds like there are activities we could do as an entire family there.
