Wasserstein Home’s Essential Oils and Essential Oil Diffuser Review

Wasserstein Home’s Essential Oils and Essential Oil Diffuser Review

Wasserstein Home has recently launched their new line of essential oils. Their line is a luxurious, diverse collection of pure essential oils that are perfect for the home, office, and even to give as a gift for almost any special occasion. These reminded me of a gift a friend was given after her wedding as a surprise for when she arrived home with her husband from their honeymoon. She had received an essential oil gift set and it was that same friend who had introduced me to the benefits of essential oils over five years ago. It was perfect timing for me as I was just getting back into my yoga practice after a two years of not being able to attend classes. Essential oils should be apart of everyone’s lifestyle and hold dozens of health and wellness benefits.

Wasserstein Home‘s collection consists of 100% pure aromatherapy essential oils. Their packaging is BPA-free and their oils do not contain any additives or fillers.

I generously received the following from Wasserstein Home:
  • Top 14 Aromatherapy 100% Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Set
  • Top 8 Aromatherapy 100% Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Set
  • Top 6 Aromatherapy 100% Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Set
  • 4 oz Lavender Essential Oil & 4 oz Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • Dark Wood Grain humidifier

First and foremost, I am very impressed with their attention to packaging and presentation. The ‘Top’ essential oils are handsomely packaged in black, sturdy cardboard boxes and each essential oil bottle is presented with a color coded label with the type of pure essential oil in white font. Each amber glass bottle is UV light protected, preventing any excessive sun and heat exposure. It is best to store your essential oils in a cool, dry place. I store mine in an essential oil wooden shelf underneath my sink separate from bath and beauty products. Excessive sun and heat exposure could reduce the potency of essential oils.

I loved the opportunity to experiment and try each of the essential oils in different rooms and during varying times of day. I noticed right away a gentle cooling mist that comes from the humidifier that instantly creates a calming sensation. For me, after about a half hour I became more energized and invigorated rather than drowsy or meditative, for example. Walking around my home, I could still smell the gentle scent of the oil. The farthest away I could smell the oil was about forty feet away, just a hint.

The humidifier has four settings: continuous mist, 1-hour timer, 3-hour timer or 6-hour timer as well as 7 light settings. When time is up or there is no water, it will turn off automatically. The humidifier is able to run continuously for up to 11 hours with low mist, and can also be used as a night light. The mist takes just under a minute to rise from the top and the soothing scent is noticeable within 20-30 seconds.

My three year old daughter loved the different smells and right away noticed them each morning that she awoke. Her favorite is the Sweet Orange. My three favorite essential oils are Peppermint, Lavender, and Tea Tree. I have been using these three on almost a daily basis. I traditionally use Tea Tree oil as an anti-viral essential oil to treat wounds and acne. Tea Tree blends well with eucalyptus. By the way, it is encouraged to experiment with different oil blends. My favorite blend is Grapefruit and Orange, the traditional citrus duo. My second favorite blend is Peppermint and Rosemary. Lavender smells so elegant and reminds me of visiting the fresh lavender fields on the North Fork each summer. It is great for relieving stress, healing burns and wounds, and helps to defend against colds and viruses. Peppermint is so invigorating yet soothing at the same time. It gives me such an immense amount of vitality throughout the day. This essential oils is great for relieving congestion, and also helps to relieve headaches, indigestion, and decrease mental fatigue. My favorite spot for the humidifier is in my bathroom for that perfect, energizing scent before and after I shower and while I get dressed.

Wasserstein Home included a very useful list of additional ways to use essential oils in everyday life:

  • A few drops of Essential Oil (EO) on a cotton ball hidden in inconspicuous places around the bathroom will create a refreshing scent. Think cupboards, drawers, and behind fixtures.
  • Places a few drops of EO on a small cloth and toss in the dryer as a dryer sheet. I detest traditional dryer sheets and have not used them since college. The smell can knock you out and they are full of awful chemicals that are terrible for your skin in the long-term.
  • A few drops of EO added to hot wax of a tea light creates an easy scented candle.
  • Add a few drops to bathwater for a soothing moment after a long day.

With their set, I had the opportunity to try the following essential oils for the first time:
