Just at the edge of the Village of Bridgehampton is A Room At The Beach, a new boutique hotel located within two miles of some of the Hamptons’ most beautiful beaches. The whimsical property is home to ten rooms, each meticulously designed by owner Lucy Swift Weber.
Founders Lucy Swift Weber and Charles Lemonides, a couple with a deep love of travel, have recreated each of the guest rooms to have their own personalities with furniture and decor that reflect the serenity of the Hamptons and evoke a sense of warmth and comfort.
Previously owned by Alexis Stewart and Donna Karan, the lush 1.5 acres escape welcomes guests to the ultimate Hamptons experience: a sumptuous lush environment where they can enjoy premium amenities without any noise and disruption from the cars driving along Montauk Highway.
Think of A Room At The Beach as a luxe summer camp retreat for adults: beautiful towering redwoods outdoor yoga, a private pool, bikes, a sauna and more.
The hotel’s lush space also lends themselves perfectly to a wide range of group activities including dinner parties, yoga retreats, outdoor weddings, and reunions.
Weber’s and Lemonides approach to service is discerning, though essentially at ease. A Room At The Beach invites guests to enjoy the outdoors, their own private garden, ample deck space, and the outdoor common area to mingle and meet fellow Hamptons guests.
Weber, an art collector and designer in her own right, furnished each room individually with hand-sourced antiques, flea market finds, and original works of art, with first edition mid-century design blends with colorful fabrics and comfortable sleeping areas.
The bathrooms are also crafted with such individuality, with amenities including rainfall showers, spa tubs in the suites, bluestone tiles, and peaceful garden views. It is like being in your own private backyard. For that added convenience, select rooms have a door through the shower into the garden, perfect for accessing your room if you just came from the sandy beach.
Room amenities include Frette linens and robes, full-sized Malin & Goetz toiletries, Nespresso machine, and a gourmet minibar stocked with treats from L&W Market (Lemonides’s brother, Eric, is a co-owner of the Almond group).
For a jaunt out, Serena and Lily bicycles are available for venturing out the beaches, parks, and bays. Another perk? The vast insider knowledge that the couple are eager to share with guests; it’s like having the best of the best Hamptons concierge service at your fingertips.
Yoga classes and pop up events with New York Pilates will be held throughout the summer.
