How did it all start with your collaboration with Holiday House Hamptons?

The holiday house has always been a prestigious show house, featuring some of the very best designers in New York and beyond. When I was asked to join this year, I was so honored. It is an opportunity to show off my creativity and design vision, and most importantly, support a cause that I hold dear to my heart, the Breast Cancer Foundation.

What do you love about the architecture of the Hamptons? Do you have a favorite area?

The architecture in the Hamptons is all so beautiful from the historical homes, classic shingle styled homes, uber modern to the new trendy modern farm houses! There is a bit of something for everyone! It’s so hard to pick a favorite part of the Hamptons but if I had to, Sag Harbor. I love its charm and nautical presence.

Describe your design approach for the HHH project and how your room captures that dreamy Hampton’s summer escape.

Well, It’s funny you mention dreamy… Each designer was asked to choose a theme for their room and mine is “Dream”. The inspiration for my bedroom is to escape from reality and enter into a euphoric “Dream”. I wanted to have the perfectly curated room, collaborating with some of my favorite furniture designers from around the world. Some of the most notable pieces in my room are the magnificent rock crystal chandelier from the Australian lighting designer, Christopher Boots, a Fade cement table by Fernando Mastrangelo and several custom designed pieces from my own furniture line that will be launching this summer. The pieces from my own collection include; a custom etched mirror with a quote that will trigger the reader’s thoughts, an arched bed design and a pair of night tables with block marble cubes. I also designed an organically shaped, hand carved shearling rug that was produced by Stark carpet. In addition to the many extraordinary pieces of furniture and captivating art, the fabric for the window treatments is from Rosemary Hallgarten, which is a hand-dipped alpaca and linen blend ombre fabric, which most definitely defines luxury.

What do you most look forward to about coming to the Hamptons each summer?

The beach! I love the beach and the ocean… it’s so therapeutic! The scenery in general is magical even if you are taking a weekend drive I love the trees, looking at gorgeous homes and all the charming stores. I also love visiting vineyards such as Wolffer, and sipping “Summer in a Bottle”, my favorite Rose.

Name your three favorite places to dine in the Hamptons and why.

My #1 is definitely Sen in Sag Harbor because I am obsessed with sushi! My #2 would have to be Topping Rose House because you can never go wrong with a Jeans-George Restaurant and I love farm-to-table all while dining in a historical Bridgehampton hotel, it’s dreamy!  My #3 is Le Bilboquet for a pretty atmosphere while eating amazing French cuisine.
