This year’s Summer Fancy Food Show introduced me to several new, notable brands and exhibitors. Below I have curated my list of favorites from the 2017 show held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
Buzz + Bloom created such a stunning display at the food show! The care and attention to each detail of their exhibit is reflective of their deliciously diverse line of honey and spreadable honey. They offer a line of floral-forward honeys such as their Bold & Floral squeezable honey. They gently strain their honey to ensure that it retains its natural pollen and unique taste. Remember, jars of honey should never taste the same. Buzz + Bloom also packs their honey at a lower temperature than most supermarket honeys to maintain the beneficial enzymes and antioxidants. Their honeys are gluten-free, preservative-free, and nut-free.
Buzz + Bloom is also available at Safeway, Stop & Shop, Giant, Meijer, HomeGoods, Shaws, King Kullen, Albertsons, TJ Maxx, and more.

The Everton Toffee Company launched this year while reviving a traditional toffee recipe created by Molly Bushell in 1753. That year, she made her first batch of creamy, handcrafted candies, establishing her village of Everton in Liverpool, England as the world-recognized birthplace of butter toffee. The tradition continues with The Everton Toffee Company, who makes small craft batches of butter toffee and butter toffee pretzels, each with the same rich, sweet aroma as Bushell did centuries ago. The best of the best is right here. I could not get enough of their crunchy toffee pretzels and caramels, you won’t find anything else quite like it. You have a new customer for life!
Purchase online via their website. Free shipping on all orders! Also available at dozens of retailers across the state of California, in addition to being sold in the states of Washington, Missouri, Connecticut and Rhode Island, in addition to Toronto, and Chicago.

This savory and spicy granola instantly won me over. Each bite renewed my devotion to granola. Instead of your traditional, overly sweet granola, Spice Trail Snacks has created a line of granola clusters with aromatic spices such as curry leaves, turmeric, and cardamon. Each flavor is based on food from around the world, it is as if you are right there in Bombay or Marrakesh. Enjoy straight out of the bag (like I did) or mix into your favorite dishes such as soups, yogurt, grilled fruit, guacamole, macaroni and cheese, and even over ice cream.

NuttZo began with two delicious, protein packed nut butters: Peanut Pro and paleo friendly, non peanut Power Fuel. These nut butters are blend of almonds, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, and cashews with ingredients such as chia seeds, sunflower needs, and pumpkin seeds, a serious upgrade to traditional nut butter. A new product this season is a chocolatey twist on their most popular flavor, Power Fuel. NuttZo has partnered with Eating Evolved to deliver an upgraded chocolate nut butter sweetened with organic coconut sugar. Unlike other chocolate butters, Chocolate Power Fuel is paleo-approved and delivers just 2g of sugar per serving, along with 6g of protein. I love that it is not sweet and mixes very well into smoothies and yogurts. their products are organic, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, non-GMO and do not contain palm oil.

Endorfin Foods is the only bean-to-bar chocolate company using coconut sugar to sweeten their chocolate. Unlike beet and cane sugars, it contains nutritious properties, requires minimal processing, and can be grown sustainably. Their chocolate bars are organic and crafted from ethically sourced ingredients like agroforestry cacao, coconut sugar, and coconut mylk with no refined sugar, dairy, soy, or gluten, making them both vegan and paleo approved.
