Brooklyn Chop House is set to open in the Financial District on Nassau St. in September. My family and I had the opportunity to dine privately at their pop-up at Oreya in Southampton last week.
As one of the most unique concepts I have seen in some time (think traditional New York City staples with a twist of Asian flare), the menu focuses on Dim Sum and Chops, with dishes from Homemade Dumplings and Noodles to 50-60 day dry-aged Prime Steaks and Double Thick Cut Chops.
Notable Dumplings and Noodles include the Pastrami Dumplings ($14), The Reuben Dumplings ($12), Chicken Flat Noodles with Bean Sprouts ($12), and Green Spinach Shrimp ($14).
Small Plates include Rock Shrimp Tempura ($15), Mayo Prawns ($15), Short Rib Bao Buns ($14), Chicken Satay (3) with Peanut Sauce ($16), Scallion Pancakes (4) ($10), and Peking Duck Tacos (2) ($14).
Brooklyn Chop House specialties include a 7 lb. Long Island Peking Duck ($55); and Alaskan King Crab Legs for Two with Garlic and Ginger ($125).
They also serve rolls such as their Spicy Tuna Roll ($12) and Shrimp Tempura Roll ($11). Sandwiches include a Filet Mignon Sandwich ($18.95) and Crispy Black Sea Bass Sandwich ($16.95).
Brooklyn Chop House is owned by restaurateur, business executive Robert (Pooh) Cummins, who has worked closely with the likes of Mary J. Blige and Diddy, and operated by longtime Hamptons restauranteur Stratis Morfogen.

$10 drinks for all day happy hour are available from open to close! Lunch is served Monday-Friday from 11:30am-4pm, and Brunch is served on weekends from 11:30am-4pm, which includes unlimited dim sum for $29.95. Omelettes, strip steak and eggs, house-made waffles, and pancakes are also available.
Read their full menu here. I hope to see you at their new restaurant this fall! Their summer pop-up will run through Labor Day weekend and is open Wednesday-Sunday.
