25th Annual Taste of Tribeca: An Interview with Gigino Trattoria

Taste of Tribeca will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary on Saturday, May 18th from 11:30am-3pm. which will be held on Saturday, May 18. The annual food festival that draws between 3,000-4,000 ticket holders brings together more than 60 of Tribeca’s top chefs and restaurants to benefit arts and enrichment programs at local public schools PS 150 and PS 234. Ticket holders are entitled to six tastes and two pours on the Beer & Cider Tour.

In anticipation of this Saturday’s event, I sat down with Gigino Trattoria’s Special Events Manager, Julia Barker.

Mode Kitchen & Bar at Four Seasons Sydney

Mode Kitchen & Bar, located inside Four Seasons Hotel Sydney on the ground floor, within walking distance to City Quay, is a contemporary Australian restaurant and bar known for their signature steaks and famous Australian dishes such as Coorong Pippies that are similar to mussels and clams here in the United States, as well as Flinders lamb and Tasmanian Kangaroo. The décor is 1920’s inspired, with brown and orange tones, creating a handsome dining scene that is perfect for a night out with friends, co-workers, or a significant other. The restaurant is also family-friendly.

Their menu changes every quarter, with current South Australian promotions available until May. To start, we were recommended specific cocktails to start based upon the dishes we chose to order. Our first selection was the Ginger Royale. Champagne and Gin lovers will appreciate the Ginger Royale ($20), made with West Winds Sabre Gin from Western Australia. Our second was the Lady in White, one of their native inspired cocktails. Made with Archie Rose Dry Gin, Lemon Myrtle & Finger Lime ($25).

Long Chim Melbourne at Crown Resorts

My Flight with JetBlue from New York to Los Angeles

For my first visit to Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim in early March, I had the pleasure of flying with JetBlue from New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX) round-trip, nonstop. Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub at Equinox Spa Brickell, Miami

During the South Beach Wine and Food Festival or SOBEWFF, I had the pleasure of visiting Equinox Spa at Four Seasons Brickell Miami. Located within a twenty minute driving distance from Miami Beach, I was treated to an exclusive, luxurious spa treatment, the Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub with ‘Esti’ Elena Rubezhnaya. This treatment perfectly complimented that weekend’s wine and food tastings all across Miami-Dade County from ‘Yappy Hour’ to Barilla’s Italian Bites on the Beach.

The Crushed Cabernet Service was the centerpiece of Valentine’s Month as well as the Wine & Food Festival. The treatment lasts approximately forty-five minutes. Caudalie beauty products, including the scrub, are available for sale at The Spa’s gift shop. Created by Mathilde Thomas and originally from Paris, Caudalie is the creator of the Vinotherapie Spa. I had the luxury of trying their Vine Body Butter, the softest and most hydrating body butter I have ever tried. It was used to soften my hands and feet after the scrub and I cannot stop thinking about it. Elena also spoke very highly of the Body Butter. If you want to spoil your skin with the best of the best, look no further than Caudalie’s Vine Body Butter.

After the Scrub, I felt relaxed, rejuvenated, and very calm, especially after a very busy back-to-back schedule for previous two days. It was an ideal way to wrap up my time in Miami; I cannot wait to return to Equinox Spa.

When you arrive, you have your own lockers to store your personal items and belongings and are provided with a warm bathrobe and waterproof slip-ons. You are welcome to use the steam room and or sauna before or after your treatment. In the lounge as you wait for your Spa experience, there is calming music, an essential oil humidifier, coffee table books, hot tea, water, and a variety of chocolates, candies, and dried fruit for your enjoyment.

For the month of March, Brickell and all five Equinox Florida spas in Equinox are gearing up for green facials in honor of St. Patrick’s Month. Caudalie has an amazing green line to service both men and women, perfect for a couples day or any celebration throughout the month.
