Drink It Tuesday: Make at Home Juice Press MILF

I think I got this Juice Press recipe down exactly the second time around. The first time, I used a blend of raw greens such as kale and spinach instead of the powder. Though the greens tasted good, the Field of Greens Fruitein Green Foods Powder was much better tasting. With this batch, I only used one packet, which is one serving. Since this smoothie batch serves four to five, I would suggest using three packets of Fruitein or Field of Greens Superfood Powder as what the original recipe calls for. That would create a deeper green color. The color of the smoothie becomes darker green as it oxidizes. When kept refrigerated, it lasts up to four days.

This is one of my favorite fruit smoothies and is perfect for the morning and post-workout. I love that I could enjoy a blend of my favorite fruits all in one. I would definitely use Fruitein again in the next batch but would also consider trying the Super Foods Powder, which is USDA certified organic. Before you begin, this recipe calls for mangos, which are extremely tricky to cut and slice. I highly recommend watching Alton Brown’s “How to Slice a Mango” video before attempting this feat.
