Drink It Tuesday: KeVita Sparkling Probiotic Drink

I was first introduced to KeVita Tonics at the Summer Fancy Food Show in late June. I was graciously given two bottles of their Cleansing Probiotic Tonic drink with apple cider vinegar to take home with me to try:  Cinnamon and Lemon Ginger. Probiotics, which help maintain your digestive tract, are not a new concept for me. However, I am becoming more aware of the great benefits of live probiotics in our diets. This healthy bacteria that many of us often do not have enough of may prevent issues such as constipation, gas, bloating, and diarrhea, and provide us with more fuel and energy.

I am very impressed with the overall taste of KeVita! I was very fond of both flavors. Each tonic drink was very refreshing, surprisingly soothing, and the touch of flavors in each bottle was ideal. It has a milder taste than seltzer or club soda. The carbonation is light, which makes the drink so enjoyable. I would recommend drinking each bottle straight through after opening as I would assume the fizzy taste may dissipate.

The ginger in the lemon ginger was strong but not overpowering. With the lemon, there was a delicate balance between fizz and tart. The cinnamon flavor would be appeasing during the cooler months and great around the holidays as the cinnamon taste is so in sync with the wintertime.

Additional KeVita flavors include Mojita, Lemon Cayenne, Coconut, Mango Coconut, Tangerine, Blueberry Cherry, Hibiscus Berry, Pomegranate, and Strawberry Acai Coconut. Two new flavors are Apple Kale, and Pineapple Coconut. There are 45 calories per serving, with about two servings per 15.2 fl oz bottle.
