I know that the summer season is just around the corner when I hear news that the Juice Press in Southampton has opened for the year. Juice Press had been closed since late November and I am so glad to see the Juice Press crew back in town. The Juice Press is my one-stop destination for raw, organic, and vegan snacks from their kale chips and jam to their juice and smoothie concoctions.
During my visit, the manager was very helpful in suggesting new snacks and juices to try. I also had the opportunity to sample a few juices and snacks that I never tried before including their dried mangos, and their F$*#%ing Genius blueberry smoothie.
During my visit, I picked up some old favorites and twists on popular juices. In addition to my go-to raw oatmeal, and ebony and ivory raw chocolates, I purchased the new Slim Mint Raw Juice Blend, a formula of their homemade almond milk, date, brown rice protein, coconut nectar, cacao nib, vanilla, chia seed, and peppermint. I also bought my favorite JP Black juice blend with coconut nectar, almond, coconut oil, vanilla, and sea salt. That juice is incredibly tasty and I love to enjoy mid-afternoon in between meals as a pick-me-up.
As you may have read in earlier posts, I have been experimenting with creating smoothies at home. I have been enjoying fresh smoothies every morning about five days a week for the past two months. I love to have fun with each batch, adding in leafy greens, dates, and or different protein powders to mix things up. Smoothies are the perfect healthy and fast breakfast and I usually make a large enough batch to last for about three days. I love smoothies especially after an intense cardio blast.
I will definitely be a frequent visitor of the Juice Press this summer and am looking forward to trying new one-of-a-kind juices and raw snacks.
