Red Lobster’s Lobsterfest, the ultimate celebration of everything lobster, is back! During Lobsterfest and for a limited time, guests can choose from nine new and classic lobster dishes prepared in a variety of craveable ways, including roasted, grilled, topped and steamed.
This year’s Lobsterfest menu features craveable new flavors and preparations that will excite guests’ palates, including Lobster Lover’s Dream®, the new Dueling Lobster Tails, new Lobsterfest® Surf and Turf, and new Lobster Truffle Mac & Cheese, to name a few.
My husband and I visited the Red Lobster in Ronkonkoma, NY just off of Interstate 495 at exit 60 and had an exceptional experience overall. We had that rare opportunity to ourselves this Saturday and were able to celebrate that time together. On this particular occasion, we were celebrating his obtaining a new position at a nearby hospital as a member of the medical staff.
We usually visit the Red Lobster in Danbury, CT when I visit my family, but this visit brought a very nice change of scenery with discovering some old (and new) favorites. I highly recommend this location! Alicia, our server, went above and beyond with courtesy and excellent service, suggesting dishes and drink pairings as well as refilling our water glasses and clearing the table without having to be prompted.
To start, I had the new Lobster Lover’s Punch: Captain Morgan®, Bacardi® and Malibu® rum, shaken with berry and pineapple juice. It is served in a 50th Anniversary collectible glass that is available for purchase. Alicia noted that the Punch is well received among customers and is one of the most popular beverages choices. I would have to agree! It reminded me of my time down in the Caribbean islands and had me longing for those sweet summer months with each refreshing sip. Their second new cocktail is their Tropical White Sangria: Moscato, pineapple and mango juices with a splash of Sprite® for a touch of fizz.
Immediately proceeding, and served with my most favorite Cheddar Bay Biscuits, was our appetizer, the new Chilled Lobster and Shrimp Cocktail: chilled split petite Maine lobster tails and jumbo shrimp served with Red Lobster’s signature cocktail sauce. The appetizer was beautifully presented and made our date night even more special. We are huge seafood lovers and the taste was so fresh and such a perfect way to start our meal.
For our entrees, we chose the NEW! Dueling Lobster Tails™: Maine lobster tail steamed in parchment paper with fresh herbs, tomatoes and lemon, paired with a grilled Maine lobster tail topped with shrimp, bay scallops and roasted bell peppers in a rich sherry lobster cream, served with a choice of a side; and Lobster Lover’s Dream®: a roasted, succulent rock lobster tail until tender, a steamed split Maine lobster tail to the perfect texture, served both with creamy lobster-and-shrimp linguini Alfredo, with a choice of a side. Our side dishes of choice were the broccoli for Lobster Lover’s Dream®, and roasted green beans with mushrooms with the Dueling Lobster Tails™. Additional side dishes included a baked potato, mashed potatoes, sweet potato and French fries, as an example.
Include with our Lobster dinners were salads, a choice of House or Caesar. I ordered the house salad oil and vinegar with my entree, and my husband ordered the Caesar salad. We ‘dove’ into our meals instantly. The portions were very generous and everything tasted so fresh. Each dish was very memorable the side pairings were perfect, which were also recommended by our server. We would definitely order these dishes again and for next time, we decided we would love to try the NEW! Stuffed Tilapia with Langostino Lobster: Fresh tilapia roasted with Red Lobster’s signature seafood stuffing and topped with langostino lobster in a creamy lobster beurre blanc. Served with choice of two sides.
For your entree selection, guests can also choose from the popular Ultimate Feast®, Seaport Lobster and Shrimp, Wood-Grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Salmon, and Bar Harbor Bake.
