With inspiration from this week’s Summer Fancy Food Show, I would love to introduce my readers to a tasty crispbread brand called Primizie. Primizie, translated from Italian to English as “first of a kind” or “category,” is a company based in Texas that sells  thick cut crispbreads in premium flavor forward options including Classic Italian Herb, Cheese, Chili & Lime, and Simply Salted. Their newest flavor, Dolce Caramel with Sweet Italian Cream, was launched at the Summer Fancy Food Show. I was one of the first individuals to try the new flavor and feel that it deserves to be in a category of its own.

I felt that the company succeeded in create a sweet variation of their crispbreads and would love to see some more sweet crispbreads come about in the near future. In addition to this debut, the company also announced that their crispbreads are now available in snack-size bags.

The Dolce Caramel was my favorite. The crispbreads had a rich, nutty caramel taste with an infusion of sugars and spices. The sweet taste was very comforting, especially with the accent of the sweet Italian cream. The crispbreads are so perfect for dipping as the won’t break or crumble in your fingers, and sure to be a hit at any gathering this summer and or holiday season.

Primizie’s 1.5-ounce snack packaging option is also available in Italian 7-Herb, Gouda and Garlic, Chile and Lime, and Simply Salted. The new 1.5-ounce bags are available for a SRP of $1.29, while the 6.5-ounce bags have a SRP of $3.99.

These handmade artisanal crispbread snacks were created by husband and wife team Mark and Lisa Spedale. Primizie delivers enhanced flavors and thick crisp cuts with a distinct crunch. To provide a flavor-forward snacking experience, the beginning ingredients are mixed directly into the dough instead of applied afterwards to provide an authentic taste in each bite. Primizie snacks are all natural with no trans fat or cholesterol, and no preservatives.
