Sweet Sunday: Harry and David Gift Tower

My family and I were delighted to receive a gift tower from Harry and David this December. We were very familiar with the company and have indulged in their treats at parties in the past, but it must have been at least five years since we purchased or received a gift tower from them. They are always splendidly packaged and arranged with tons of goodies in each box.

In our Deluxe Tower of Chocolates we recieved such delicious after dinner bites as sweet caramel chocolate popcorn, nougat chocolate, a small chocolate cake that is idel for sharing betweend three or four people, a generous box of their signature chocolate truffles, chocolate covered cherries, dark chocolate malted milk balls, individually wrapped mint chocolates, choclate covered pretzels, and their Moose Munch dark and milk chocolate bites. The retail price is $79.95. A smaller version is also available for $49.95. Shipping was very reasonable and right on schedule.

We first tried the popcorn one late evening while watching a film. It was so crunchy and each bite was better than the next. You really had to put some effort into putting the bag down, as was the case for the malted milk balls. I finished those over the course of three days, munching away as I lounged about into the weekend. The chocolate covered cherries were some of the best I have ever tasted; every juicy morsel was another step towards pure bliss. It was when we reached the beautifully arranged chocolate truffles that we knew this tower was beyond exceptional.

You could purchase or learn more about their selection of gift towers here. For next time, I’d love to try their Grand Bakery Sweets tower. Everything looks so scrumptious, and right away it appears to be a chocolate lover’s center of paradise. What a perfect gift that would be for the New Year or as an accompaniment to an office party or birthday celebration.
