New York’s Upper East Side hotspot, TBar, is also celebrating the summer out east in Southampton just across from the railroad station. TBar offers guests standout American cuisine in a casual yet elegant space, and the outdoor terrace and garden make it the quintessential location for evening cocktails on those warm summer evenings. The restaurant is also family-friendly, with many of their dishes being ideal for children of all ages, including their selection of thin crust pizzas. Our children loved their Margherita pizza and it was an ample portion for them to split.
Their menu is consistent with and similar to their New York City dining destination. We ordered the following dishes during our visit:
Truffle Rice Balls: Mushrooms, Truffle Oil ($18)
Watermelon and Feta: Feta, Tomato, Balsamic ($18)
Amish Turkey Burger: Cheese, Spinach, Caramelized Onion served with French Fries or Salad ($30)
Crispy Sushi: Spicy Tuna, Hamachi, Salmon Tuna ($26, four pieces)
Aged NY Strip (14oz): Certified Black Angus, seasoned with Kosher salt and black pepper with a choice of Steak Sauce, Béarnaise Sauce or Poivre Sauce.
We particularly liked their Crispy Sushi, perfect to split and start off the meal. The quality of the food is excellent overall that was both satisfying and diverse. Expect the same superior standard of dining as you would find in the city. We paired our dinner with two of their signature cocktails, the London Maid: Vodka or Gin, Lime, Cucumber, and Mint; and El Diablo: Tequila Reposado, Ginger, Lime, and Cassis ($20).
Additional notable menu items include their Steak Bar selection including the Filet Mignon ($43) as well as the Cavatelli Antonucci ($29), Herbed Grilled Branzino ($41); and the Crispy Long Island Duck with Sweet Potatoes and Orange Glaze ($42).
The Steak Bar features an impressive range of superbly-cooked certified Black Angus cuts of beef including its Black Angus Porterhouse for two ($145) served with a choice of two sides with Porterhouse. The menu also boasts numerous other American classics including the signature Crusted Tuna ($41) served with soy, wasabi rémoulade, and seaweed salad; and the Irish Salmon with zucchini, and honey mustard.
Desserts include a must-try Banana Parfait Mille Feuilles with coconut and caramel sauce or the decadent Chocolate Sundae served with brownie, chocolate sauce, and cream. They also have a signature cookie plate that the kids loved!
TBar is currently open seven days a week beginning at 5pm.
