November can be an important time to consider what we are grateful for and an even better time to find ways to give back to the community. Here, we’ve rounded up a few of the local food banks and charities making sure no table goes without Thanksgiving fixings this year, and how you can help.
Island Harvest Food Bank

For over 17 years, FeedingNYC has hand delivered over 70,000 boxes filled with a frozen turkey and all the fixings for families in need across the NY-metro area including Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens to cook their own Thanksgiving meal. Inside each box is a handmade holiday card as part of our Cards4Kids program that teaches kids social responsibility in the classroom. One box costs $35. You can make a monetary donation on their website at any time during the year.
Sorrentino Turkey Drive
