The Springs Tavern in East Hampton

The Springs Tavern East Hampton

The Springs Tavern opened their doors in East Hampton this spring and has already drawn in excellent reviews. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by genuine, upbeat waitstaff who went above and beyond to accommodate us and made our dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The seating area is very open and airy, and the oak bar is a spacious spot to sit and watch sports. High-top tables are just in front of the bar for additional seating space. Just around the bar, you will discover a dart board, which gets very popular during the late evenings. We were able to play a few rounds during our dinner.

We recognized several people we knew from Springs. They expressed how much they enjoy coming here and how it is so close to home. “The hours are very reliable, we always know we can count on Springs Tavern for a late night dinner. We are easily able to walk here, it’s so fantastic!” says a customer. There is live entertainment on select nights and Country Night is every Tuesday beginning at 8pm. On this night, guests may participate in a complimentary line dancing class at 8pm, and the Spaghetti Westerners will play live music at 9pm. A light bar menu is available for guests and includes: $4 Jack Daniels shots, $4 Sweet Action Beers, $5 hot dogs, pizza slices and more.

The Springs Tavern

The menu at Springs Tavern features American pub-style fare executed by Chef Michael Ruggiero at an affordable price point in a warm and family friendly environment.  Ruggiero brings his culinary experience from Hamptons hot spots including Nick & Toni’s, Harvest on Fort Pond, Fresno and Montauk Lake Club.

We started with the Baja Fish Tacos: corn tortillas, Spanish slaw, avocado, and chipotle cream ($14). We followed our appetizer with a their Burger Special with sliced tomato, pickle, shaved red onion, on a brioche roll with cheddar cheese and house made sriracha aioli ($15) with sweet potato fries ($6); and my husband had the Pulled BBQ Pork: (served with fries, coleslaw or small salad) slow roasted pork, BBQ sauce, jack cheese, sweet onion jam on a brioche roll ($16). Their traditional burgers start at $13. Everything was exceptional; my burger was cooked to my ideal temperature and my husband continued to rave about his Pulled BBQ Pork. These are plates are worth all of their praise!

Our daughter had bites of the fish tacos and pulled pork burger before finishing off her meal with a scoop of chocolate ice cream ($5).
