GITANO Garden of Love
The Tulum inspired outdoor restaurant and bar has been a favorite of the fashion crowd since its opening last summer. Guests are immediately transported to the lush, tropical jungle of Tulum with 30-foot coconut palms and hundreds of tropical plants, a giant black Bedouin tent, twin wood pergola dining decks an open-fire kitchen. For those exhausted from the long show days, enjoy a meditation pool with daily guided meditation to decompress. Guests may also enjoy signature mezcal cocktails and Mayan and Mexican inspired cuisines while toasting to the remaining summer days outdoors.
Park South Hotel
A special cocktail called Halston will be served at Roof at Park South at the Park South Hotel during NYFW from Friday, September 6th to Saturday, September 14th for $15. $1 from every cosmo sold will benefit Clean Clothes Campaign, a nonprofit committed to improving working conditions in the global garment industry.
Guests are also welcome to access the Park South Hotel library as a recharge lounge during fashion week. The Park South Hotel library was curated by cult favorite culinary bookshop Kitchen Arts & Letters, and features cozy armchairs, an indoor fireplace, and outlets for guests to charge devices.
Ophelia Midtown East
Ophelia, the chic rooftop lounge in Midtown East, is the ideal spot for a glam night on the town during NYFW. Located on the 26th floor of the historic Beekman Tower, Ophelia is an art deco inspired lounge with wrap-around patios sporting expansive views of the East River and Manhattan skyline. Previously a hangout for working women during the 1920s, and then, a favorite watering hole of Frank Sinatra and Miles Davis, the lounge pays homage to its past with antiques signature of ‘the good ol’ days’. Grab a seat at one of the rooftop’s velvet banquettes and relax over signature cocktails like the Instagram-worthy Ophelia’s Ascension.
Recently opened in August of this year is JJ’s Hideaway, a post-punk dystopia that pays homage to the venues of the 70’s, 80’s and ’90’s, complete with a light-up disco dance floor, hot pink neon fixtures and pews reclaimed from a local church. Fashion-enthusiasts will appreciate the hand-painted, black-and-white drawings from British multimedia artist, Patrick Church, as well as vintage band posters. JJ’s also provides the perfect venue to grab a cocktail and dance the night away after a long day at the shows.
