Macari Vineyards & Winery

Two holiday must-haves from Macari Vineyards on every grown-up’s wish list this year are their famous Bergen Road 2014 and Dos Aguas 2014 blends. Their flagship red blend made from only premium vintages, the Bergen Road’s mix of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Malbec produces a full-bodied flavor combination with hints of dark raspberry, blackberry, and baking spices. The Dos Aguas, named for the two bodies of water that surround the vineyard, gives you a unique flavor experience including a hint of beef and black fruit.

Drink something delicious you can feel good about this holiday season. Mirage, Baiting Hollow’s “universal red,” is not only the perfect gift for any guest, but a gift to each of the rescue horses housed at Baiting Hollow vineyards, as well. Named after one of the horses, this blend of Cabernet, Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot is a crowd pleaser, even among those who don’t typically gravitate towards reds.

Channing Daughters Winery

With one of the largest and varied wine selections on Long Island, it’s no surprise Channing Daughters Winery features a diverse selection of sparkling wines perfect for impressing at any holiday party. Available in white, pink or red, the winery’s Petillant Naturel is a seasonal favorite. The wines are produced in the ancient tradition known as “Methode Ancestrale,” using hand-harvested grapes and a crown cap to contain the natural bubbles caused by fermentation inside the bottle. Good on their own, these sparkling wines are even better mixed into cocktails or served at brunch.

Sparkling Pointe

Nothing says ‘Happy New Year!’ quite like a sparkling beverage in hand. At Sparkling Pointe on the North Fork, all their wines are crafted exclusively in the “Methode Champenoise,” making this winery your one-stop-shop for all drinks sparkling this winter. Holiday fan favorites are the Brut Seduction, featuring aromas of brioche, caramel and toasty almonds, their citrusy Blanc de Blanc Chardonnay with a crisp mineral edge, and the 2015 Brut, with hints of lemon rind, apple and pear, and an underlying aroma of brioche.
