Celtic & Co. is a contemporary sustainable and luxurious fashion brand based in Great Britain. A personal favorite of mine for over five years, Celtic & Co. has a variety of pieces for men and women, and the home. Gift inspiration from shearling boots and knitwear to rugs and throw blankets. Celtic & Co. will also be celebrating their 30-year anniversary in 2020.
I particularly love shopping on their website during the holiday season. Over the past few years, I have looked to Celtic & Co. for several gifts for family and friends. Two years ago, I bought a pair of Felt Slippers from Woolenstocks for my husband. My husband, who is very particular about his footwear, loves them and has worn them daily ever since. The quality and feel are so superb, and the slippers still look and feel brand new.
I also remember my first sweater jumper that I purchased from Celtic & Co. It was a dark brown wool sweater with snowflakes. You can see a photo of me wearing it here via our Instagram channel. I ordered one size up (medium) from my normal size. It’s cozy and super warm. I oftentimes wear it without a jacket during those warmer winter days. I layer it with a thin cotton long sleeve shirt underneath.
Celtic & Co. has so many great selections from their most recent collection, currently available here. For Christmas shopping, you could browse by category, inspiration, or price. As a parent, I am immediately drawn to ‘Gifts for Kids.’ I love shopping with them and for them. My daughter loves to sit on my lap and pick out gifts for her younger brother. The kid’s Celtic Boots ($115) are my favorite. You could even personalize them with silver or gold text. The Boots come in seven different colors from Dusty Pink to Moss.
This British brand has several staple pieces that everyone should own. I love their women’s outerwear. My top picks include their Celtic Duffle Coat ($1,500), and Reversible Cocoon Teddy Coat ($2,250). Their Knitwear Collection allows for so many choices. Ones I love include the Supersoft Slouch Dress ($195), Alpine Stripe Funnel Neck in red or navy ($205), and Cable Crew Neck Sweater ($195).
For men, I love their Ribbed Half Zip Sweater in dark navy or olive ($215), and Burnished Holdall in chestnut ($340). For slippers, the Aqualamb water resistant shearling boots ($290) are very versatile and perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities.
One of my most favorite attributes about the brand is their mission for sustainability. It was not until recently after I attended a sustainability in fashion talk in New York City that I understood the impact of fashion on our planet. After this talk, I have rethought my intentions for future shopping. I now focus on purchasing only high-quality pieces made with sustainable fabrics. The goal is to wear these pieces repeatedly over a longer period rather than buying many lesser expensive pieces and wearing them only a handful of times.
Maintaining their sustainability promise, Celtic & Co. keeps their supply chain as local as possible. They choose sustainable and organic fibers over toxic and non-biodegradable materials like acrylic and polyester. Using natural fibers like shearling and wool are renewable, long-lasting, and a pleasure to wear.
Celtic & Co. offers free shipping to the US on all orders. Bespoke ordering services are also available.
