The Greenport Business Improvement District will be presenting the 4th Annual Greenport Shellabration the first weekend of December, from noon-4pm December 5 & 6. Wristbands will gain participants access to Greenport’s finest restaurants to enjoy local shellfish, wine, and beer offerings during a weekend long restaurant walk, in support of Cornell Cooperative Extension’s shellfish restoration and community stewardship projects-specifically the Back to the Bays Initiative, and SPAT (Suffolk Project in Aquaculture Training) Program.
Participating restaurants will offer $5 tapas sized offerings featuring local shellfish, paired with $3 tasting pours of local wine (full glass options available). Additionally, local shops will be offering special promotions for Shellabration participants, making for a wonderful weekend of eating, drinking and shopping local, all in support of our local marine environment!
I highly recommend “Shellabrants” reserve wristbands in advance, as this event sells out every year. Wristbands are available for $20-General Admission, $50 VIP, which includes a special gift bag and other perks! Pre-purchased wristbands (and day-of sales based on first come, first served availability) will be available for pick up at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.’s location on Carpenter Street, or at Little Creek Oysters down Bootleg Alley off of Front Street.
Purchase your tickets online here. I will be in attendance on Saturday and am looking forward to seeing you there!
This event is being brought to you by, the Greenport Business Improvement District, Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., Sirens’ Song Gallery, and Northforker.com.
